Sustainability Hub has a maker space that produces products as well as promotes technologies of entrepreneurs we work with. We implement a number of projects to drive access to sustainable energy solutions, reduce climate change, enhance access to water and sanitation and creates employability for local communities.

Under our Renewable Energy, Climate Change and Energy Efficiency Unit, we promote solar lighting, clean cookstoves, biogas and biomass briquetting technologies.

Over the years we have worked with our entrepreneurs to promote over 150,000 improved cookstoves to local communities in the Ashanti, Eastern and Greater Accra Regions.

Various improved cookstoves have been developed and are being deployed in local communities with over 38 to 40% thermal efficiency and 67% fuel savings

The objectives is to mitigate climate change, reduce indoor air pollution, reduce deforestation, address gender equality by giving more time for women to do economic activities

Promotion of institutional cookstoves for fish smoking

We further profide improved cookstoves for agroprocessing including fish smoking. Women uses a lot of firewood in traditional smoking of fish that results in high quality fish for the women.
By promoting improved fish smoking ovens, women gets empowered and increase their incomes and productivity

We are transitioning women from the use of traditional gari processing stoves to a more efficient cookstove that uses firewood, takes smoke away from the working area and give women cleaner working environment, cooks fast and helps women gets more income
